A mask made in collaboration with artist Tonye Ekine. I met Tonye in 2024 while we were both working at the Venice Biennale. He asked me to knit him a mask, a soft, textile version of a Benin Bronze sculpture that is referenced repeatedly in his paintings. As we walked the streets of Venice spying carnival masks together, we decided to make a wearable mask for him to embody.
